A visa whether it is for self-employment or opening a business is fundamentally the same.
Generally, for a successful application, you will need to make an investment and demonstrate that you are going to deliver a positive impact on the economy in that country.
The foreign employees of the company may have to provide proof that they have accommodation and funds with which to live, they will also need to be paid a monthly salary.
You will often be asked to submit a business plan with your application so that the authorities can satisfy themselves that you are well funded and most likely to be a success which means employing local people and paying local taxes.
Representative office
A representative office is often used as an interim step before establishing a branch office and is a great opportunity to move into a new market, it can only be set-up when your company does not already have a subsidiary in that country.
A representative office allows you to let employees of the company come to the country where you set up to construct machines or negotiate contracts. It also allows the company to send employees to work there because the authorities will not grant any foreigner a resident permit for employment when the employer is not established in that country.
To apply for a representative office you must have a formal legally established company in your own country, you will have to include notarised evidence of its legal establishment with your application.
